Business Trip to Uzbekistan and UAE

Dr. Hae Jung Jung, Chairman of M.K International Inc., undertook a significant business trip to Uzbekistan from August 28 to September 2. Under special invitation aimed to explore the burgeoning basalt sector in the region.

During his visit, Dr. Jung and MK delegation had the opportunity to tour basalt fiber factory. Basalt fiber, derived from basalt rock, is increasingly recognized for its high tensile strength, thermal stability, and resistance to corrosion. The factory showcased advanced manufacturing processes and cutting-edge technologies employed to produce basalt fiber. Dr. Jung engaged in detailed discussions with factory executives and engineers about the challenges and opportunities within the basalt fiber industry, including innovations in production techniques and potential market expansions.

Another highlight of Dr. Jung's trip was visiting facilities specializing in basalt wool production. He also participated in discussions on the environmental benefits of basalt wool, particularly its sustainability and minimal environmental impact compared to other insulating materials.

Throughout the visit, MK Delegation held strategic meetings with local industry leaders and government officials. These discussions centred on potential collaborations, investment opportunities, and the future growth of the basalt industry in Uzbekistan, Korea and USA.

Following a successful business trip to Uzbekistan, Dr. Jung travelled to the United Arab Emirates to further discussions on the burgeoning basalt industry and to explore opportunities within the technology sector.

One of the primary objectives of the Chairman Dr. Jung’s trip to the UAE was to continue discussions on the basalt business, which has gained significant traction due to its versatile applications in construction and infrastructure. During his visit, Dr. Jung met with key stakeholders in the UAE to explore collaborative opportunities, including investment and technology transfer.

In addition to the basalt discussions, Dr. Jung and MK Delegation held a productive meeting with a renowned German expert who travelled specifically to Dubai to discuss a data centre business opportunities.

Moreover, MK Delegation engaged in fruitful discussions with existing stakeholders and partners, culminating in final negotiations to establish a Strategic Partnership Agreement with one of Dubai’s leading companies.
